Return Instructions for International Shipments

  1. Fill out the Return Material Authorization form (RMA) and Failure Report in PDF format.
  2. Send RMA form and Failure Report (in PDF format) to repairs@canadatech.com.
  3. A RMA number will then be assigned to your request and emailed to you.
  4. Package the tool in a Pelican case (if available); include all Canada Tech mechanical parts
(battery housing, bullnose etc.) with your return, this can help our repair technicians identify the
cause of the failure. We ask that you do not ship the tool with any batteries, since batteries are considered dangerous goods and could delay the delivery of the tool.
  5. Ship the parcel to:
    Canada Tech Corp.
    ATTN: Repairs
    #105, 1437 – 47th Avenue NE
    Calgary, Alberta Canada
    T2E 6N7
  6. See notes below for important guidelines for labelling package to ensure clearance by Canada Customs.
  7. When Canada Tech receives your parcel, we will acknowledge receipt by sending you a
    notification by email.
  8. Canada Tech will evaluate the cost of repairs and provide you with an ESTIMATE through email.
Your authorization and a purchase order number will be required from you in order for us to
proceed with the repair work. You will be notified by email if the cost of the repair changes as the
    work progresses.
  9. Canada Tech will inform you of the progress during key milestones of the repair job.
  10. Shipping and tracking information will be emailed to you when the tool is shipped back. Our
repair invoice will be mailed out at the same time as the shipment leaves our premises.
  • For returned products originating outside of Canada, please mark the invoice and the Airway Bill
“RETURN/REPAIR TO COUNTRY OF ORIGIN.” Mark “Country of Origin” as “Canada”. This is the best
way to insure that duties will not be assessed.

  • Shipments will be refused if the “Duties and Taxes” section of the Airway Bill is marked “Bill
Recipient.” This section must be marked “Bill Sender.” If neither box is marked, Canada Customs will
assume “Bill Recipient.” In that case, Canada Tech will refuse the shipment.

  • The shipment must exit your country through your local Customs office. Failure to do so will cause
problems for your shipment with your local Customs office when returned by Canada Tech.

  • The Value given the goods when returned to Canada Tech will be the value given the
repair/replacement shipment when returned. If Canada Tech has not been given a value, the original
    purchase price will be used.

  • We prefer shipments to be returned by FedEx. It is the customer’s responsibility to adequately insure
the shipment. If the shipment is shipped through another carrier, a surcharge of $100.00 per package
will apply to cover additional paperwork through Canadian Customs.

  • Please fax copies of the Airway Bill and Commercial Invoice to Canada Tech immediately
upon shipping the package. Canada Tech must receive copies of the paperwork before we
    will accept returned goods.
