The Cable Protector shields and supports the cable on the tubing or casing as well as helps to prevent the crushing of the cable over the tubing joint. Durable materials resistant to corrosion are used for the cable protectors. Different dimensions for a variety of tubing, casing and cable sizes are available for the cable protectors. A banding machine is used to fit the light duty cable protector tightly to the collar joint and a pneumatic air gun is used for the heavy duty clamps.

We offer two types of tubewire protector clamps:

• Light duty is made of SS 304 and is an economical protector recommended for wellbores with a vertical to 30 degree deviation
• Heavy duty is made of carbon steel and designed for wellbores with a greater than 30 degree deviation to horizontal
